Wannabe chefs invited to cook up a roaring recipe for new Tiger Hero competition

Tiger Hero competitionCulinary creatives are being asked to put their thinking chef's caps on and produce an winning dish for an ale inspired Everards cooking competition.

Leicestershire independent brewer Everards launched the Tiger Hero Recipe competition with a culinary clarion call to all budding Gordon Ramseys across the region. Entrants are asked to come up with their most exotic and creative use of Tiger Best Bitter with numerous prizes on offer for the best creations with the hottest idea being rewarded with a £250 high street gift card and a year's supply of Everards Tiger.

The ten best entries - voted for online and submitted before the deadline date of November 12, will go forward into a specially produced Tiger Hero Recipe booklet and top three entries – voted by the public – will proceed onward to a cook-off event at the Globe, Leicester at the end of November. All entries for the competition can be submitted either on-line at www.everards.co.uk/herorecipe or by filling out the promotional leaflets available in all Everards pubs.

Creativity and clever use of Tiger Best Bitter in the recipe is what the judging panel will be looking for”

In order to fire up the the search for award winning Tiger Hero Recipes, Everards held an official launch photo at the Blue Bell Inn in Desford, Leicestershire as the pub's chef, Linda cooked up one of her own delicious Steak and Ale pies. With the Steak and Ale pie idea out of the way, the gauntlet is now been thrown down to the aspiring Jamies and Delias to grab the tiger by the tail and cook up an award winning taste sensation.

As well as the top prize on offer there will be £50 high street gift cards and a month's supply of Tiger Best Bitter for the nine runners up. A 20% online discount on the price of Tiger Best Bitter will be available for the duration of the competition to help entrants start off their bid for gastronomic glory and can be purchased via Everards website or at the brewery shop in Narborough.
