Glittering Party Marks Birthday And Raises Vital Funds For Charity

A glittering birthday bash – attended by the High Sherriff of Leicester, Richard Brooks – raised more than £1900 for Leicester Charity Link.

The party was held at the prestigious Georgian listed venue The City Rooms in Leicester and was attended by more than 100 of the city’s business elite. As well as raising vital funds for the Leicester charity, the party marked Leicestershire based brand, design and PR agency The Phoenix Partners’ 10th birthday.

Rachel Hargrave, director of The Phoenix Partners, said of the night: “It was an honour to spend our 10th birthday with such wonderful people, raising money for a charity that is so close to the hearts of all those at The Phoenix Partners. Leicester Charity Link does some absolutely vital work in our community and it was an honour to have the opportunity to raise money in order that they can continue their good work.”

The money raised on the night, plus various other fundraising activities undertaken by The Phoenix Partners, leaves the grand total raised by the agency this year at £ 8,304.40 leaving just over £1,700 to raise to fulfil the £10,000 pledge the agency made to mark its 10th year.

Susie McEniff, fundraising and marketing director at Leicester Charity Link, said: “It is fantastic that The Phoenix Partners has chosen to mark their birthday by contributing to such a worthy cause. The money raised will go towards helping those most in need in our community.”

As well as enjoying a three-course meal and traditional children’s party games, guests were shown an emotional video, directed by local film-maker, George Horne, highlighting the plight of just a few of those helped by the Leicester charity.

The ‘children’s birthday’ themed party follows a line of other fundraising ventures organised by The Phoenix Partners, including a firewalk and raffle.

Fundraising is still open as the agency tries to raise to full £10,000. If you would like to contribute you can do so by visiting
