Website maps the memories of World War II veterans
A website that hopes to preserve and map the personal memories of the UK's World War II veterans has been launched by Tony Banks a Falklands veteran and entrepreneur who founded the Balhousie Care Group care homes. WW2videomemories.com already has videos of a number of residents from the care homes.
Friends, relatives and carers are asked to film surviving veterans, asking them about their memories of war. These videos can then be uploaded to the site and after review will be placed onto an interactive map. Anyone interested can then explore the map to hear personal accounts of war or alternatively submit their war memories for review.
