My Wistow Photo Competition 2013
What do you love about Wistow? Do you come often or have you never been? Come this September and you can enter our brand new competition…
Show us what Wistow means to you in a single snap shot taken between 1-29 September 2013, and you could win one of three great prizes, together worth up to £500!
Your photo can be any aspect of Wistow, from a big slice of cake in the café to the swans on the lake or your favourite dog walking spot. And you definitely don’t need to be a professional photographer – we’re looking for pictures that best capture the essence of Wistow, so snap a happy moment on your phone or spend hours with your long lens, we don’t mind!
Simply email your photo to firstname.lastname@example.org or drop in a print of your photo to Wistow Gallery by 4pm on Sunday 29th September 2013. Please ensure that you send the following details with your photo and write ‘My Wistow Photo Competition’ in the subject line of your email:
Your age (if under 16)
Your address, phone number and email address
The approx date and time your photo was taken, and its title (if you have given it one!)

A selection of the photos will be on display around the Rural Centre between 5-27 October 2013.
Wistow, located just off the A6 between Leicester and Market Harborough, is a tiny historic hamlet nestled in the beautiful south Leicestershire countryside. Wistow Rural Centre is a popular rural shopping destination, with a café/bistro, deli, garden centre and several independent retailers offering a wealth of unusual and locally-sourced gift, home and garden ideas. The Centre attracts lots of visitors throughout the year, as well as being a regular draw for local families. There is plenty of free parking, toilets and easy access to most areas for pushchairs and wheelchairs. The Centre is open seven days a week all year round and it’s a great base for walking and cycling, and in the summer months families also enjoy the award-winning Maize Maze!
