The LOROS Ladies Lunch with Julia Bradbury
This year will see the 29th Annual LOROS Ladies Lunch take place, making it one of the charities longest running fundraising events and having announced their Guest Speaker as “Lady of the Lakes” and LOROS Patron Julia Bradbury, it is set to be as popular as ever before!
LOROS Fundraiser and Event Organiser, Laura Betts said; “LOROS feel so privileged to have Julia as our Patron and Guest Speaker at the event this year. Julia’s experience of rural and environmental issues as well as her vast knowledge of the Great British Countryside is something that I am sure will appeal to many of our supporters”.
Julia is best known as a TV presenter of programmes such as ‘Countryfile’, ‘Watchdog’ , ‘Planet Earth Live’ and most recently ‘Take on the Twisters’ on ITV
Julia became a Patron for LOROS in August 2012 and has since fronted the Hospices’ much loved annual countryside walk; Walk on the Wildside which is taking place on 14th September this year (see Loros website for details).
Julia said; “Having had personal experience of cancer within my family, any difference I can make to the marvellous work LOROS does for the 2,500 local patients and their families LOROS supports each year, is indeed a great privilege. I am really looking forward to speaking at this event and meeting other LOROS supporters. ”
