Commemorating the sixtieth anniversary of the signing of the 1954 Anglo/Egyptian treaty
A service commemorating the sixtieth anniversary of the signing of the 1954 Anglo/Egyptian treaty, and the contribution made by the soldiers, sailors and airmen of Leicestershire in the Suez Canal zone. Held on Monday 13th October 2014 at County Hall, Glenfield Leicester.
The service was conducted by Arthur Clarke SVA, late of the 1st Bn The Cheshire Regiment and Vicar of Arnold Nottinghamshire. The guest were welcomed by the chairman of the County Council, Mr Bill Boulter and were later invited by the chairman to a buffet luncheon in the members lounge at County Hall.
