North Bar & Kitchen reveals facelift at sparkling launch event
Over 120 people partied the night away at an invitation-only launch party on 4th February, complete with Prosecco and Tasters from the new menus.
North Bar & Kitchen will offer a full food & drink package, concentrating on sandwiches and light bites during the day, moving to a full evening menu after 6pm.
The Menus are simple, and dishes are traditional British with a European twist, all at an affordable price.
Chef Patron Joanna Betts commented “At North we have chosen to have an open kitchen so that our professional chefs (including one of the owners) can all be seen preparing the food. Our ethos is that all our dishes will be made on site.”
The new owners, Sally Davis and Chef Patron Joanna Betts, decided to name the bar after the historic sign ‘H. North Purveyors’ that adorns the building. With help from a grant from Leicester City Council, the sign and the front of the building has been restored to its former glory, as part of the £150,000 refit.
Owner Sally Davis said “The building is a real landmark in the West End and we wanted our refurbishment to be sympathetic, but also to mark our arrival as a premium venue in the area. We are proud to be adding another great destination to the West End, bringing extra customers and footfall to Hinckley Road.”
