richard baines from Yorkshire Coast nature (YCn) said: “ We are delighted to have teamed up with Highfield farm. the nature safaris are designed specifically for people wishing to see and experience memorable wildlife surrounded by beautiful scenery.

“each tour will be led by a local wildlife expert and includes transport and guiding in a small group environment to ensure we don’t put pressure on the wildlife and give everyone in our group the best chance to share the experience.”

no two safaris will be the same. With changes of location and season, new and unexpected nature encounters will happen on every tour.

the hidden valleys of the Wolds are home to nesting Curlews, barn owls and stunning songbirds such as redstarts. otters and Water Voles lurk along the beautiful chalk streams of the river Hull headwaters.

alison Johnson of Highfield farm is thrilled to be offering guests this unique experience. she said: “We have many wonderful bird and wildlife species around Highfield farm and on the Yorkshire Wolds.  utilising the skills of YCn will help our guests get the most out of their visit to the wonderful countryside. the nature safaris are perfect for anyone looking for a break away from a busy life or simply wanting to try something different.”

a short trip away on the coast are the world-famous seabird colonies of flamborough Headland, home to one of the uk's most incredible natural spectacles. over 200,000 seabirds nest on the huge cliffs. Puffins, gannets, fulmars, razorbills and guillemots clamour for space creating an unforgettable natural wonder.

YCn expert local guides will work hard to ensure each nature safari offers a memorable experience. the small group tours are ideal for beginners and the more experienced. YCn will ensure guests have an opportunity to learn a great deal on the tour from identification tips to field craft advice. each nature safari will also provide a fantastic opportunity to take photographs with YCN’s professional wildlife photographer steve race.
