Stones Events Celebrates 10 Years of Very Important Plates – Luxury Food & Design Company Expands

Established in 2006, Stones Events has grown organically through sheer determination and passion for creating the best food and drink solutions for events. 

Headquarters are a sparkling 5,000sq foot unit within Leicester’s Food Park, boasting state-of- the-art catering facilities that rival the very best of their London competitors. Recognised and approved for government funding last year, their highly talented chefs are able to prepare exquisite menus in their impressive kitchen facility, where their clients can also sample their selections in a beautifully furnished private tasting suite. This year, Lucy Gemmell, former CEO and Founder of Rhubarb Food Design joined Stones Events imparting her extensive knowledge and wisdom into selected events. “Under Lucy’s guidance Stones Events is on a journey right to the top, and is making a considerable investment to elevate and develop the business.”, Tom Goodwin. 

2016 welcomed their ten year anniversary celebrating their journey of unrivalled food, valuable clients, beautiful venues and loyal partners, all who have contributed to the applauded success of Stones Events. They held their Anniversary Dinner in London’s elite district Mayfair where long-time clients and suppliers were invited to celebrate the achievements of the business. Everything from canapes to bowl food, amuse bouche to three courses and desserts to cheese was shared and enjoyed. They also secured a double page editorial in the Leicester Mercury’s Business Supplement. The article has generated a lot of interest in Stones Events whilst loyal clients and suppliers called to congratulate and support the team for such a massive achievement! 

With so many events in the year, Stones Events continued their work with the Nevill Holt Opera where the team were thrilled to be selected as the official caterer for the fourth year in a row. Guests were treated to an on-site restaurant which served a scrumptious 3-course meal, enjoying this in-house or privately in their own pavilion. Alternatively, guests could indulge themselves during the interval on the Stones Events picnic table enjoying maple syrup and clove glazed gammon, a variety of colourful salads and delicious desserts to name just a few dishes! 

Stones Events were a proud participant at the Condé Nast Brides The Show again this autumn where they joined other exclusive exhibitors at the Business Design Centre in Islington. They were there to share their portfolio of services with future brides. Creative Designer James Roe outdid himself creating an impressively beautiful, chic stand which attracted much attention and interest. Additionally, it was the first showcasing of their new Autumn Winter Menus which were greatly admired and have proved incredibly popular amongst clients. The show was a great opportunity to meet new people and source new suppliers and fresh ideas to take forward into 2017.  

Adding to their catalogue of favourite, select venues with the likes of Aynhoe Park in Oxfordshire, Wrest Park in Bedfordshire and Belvoir Castle in the Vale of Belvoir, Stones Events were ecstatic to be granted Preferred Caterer status at the stunning Boughton House in Northamptonshire. This striking building is steeped in history is referred to as The English Versailles highlighting its timeless beauty and uniqueness as a venue, perfectly encapsulating Stones Events’ vision of elegance and exceptionalism.
